Religion is man-made philosophy. Salvation has nothing to do with religion or religious groups. Religion did not die on the cross to save us from our sins. Jesus did. I believe in heaven and hell and the resurrection of Jesus and the Bible describes both places in detail. God said in his word that one must be born again in order to be saved and I believe that. I believe we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ which is what it says in God's Word. Salvation can never be earned. Grace means UN-earned favor. Salvation is free and when we ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins and invite Him into our heart and life, He promises to forgive us and give us eternal life in heaven. Jesus said, "I go to prepare a place for you. If it were not so, I would have told you." That place is heaven.

Thank you for sharing! Did you grow up Christian or find god throughout your life?
@LadyGrace
@heyitsemma No one grows up automatically a Christian. Even if their parents were. It is strictly a personal decision each of us must make, which is what the Bible states. I found God on my own. And no matter what way one is raised, the Bible says if we want to be saved we must seek out Jesus and he will reveal himself to us. If we want to find the truth, we must look at the source of truth, found in God's Word, because He is sinless and Jesus cannot lie. He is trust-Worthy.
@heyitsemma Heaven and Hell are not just a state of mind. When we die our soul either goes to heaven or hell. Jesus said so and he said I go to prepare a place for you. A place. Not a state of mind. That place is heaven. The Bible describes what each place looks like in detail. It is not a metaphor. And one's soul is much too precious to leave to chance. Jesus doesn't lie. He didn't come and suffer on the cross for a lie.
