I just don’t get it.....

My boyfriend came home from work and got shopping for tonight for me and kids and said right I’m going out to see my brother don’t know when I’ll be back.
He seemed really happy about it, he went out only the other day to see him yet he wouldn’t let me go to my mums for Christmas because he’s worried about the virus and I reminded him what would happen if he got seen doing this and he didn’t seem to care so pissed off right now.
He seems to prefer spending time with his “brother” than his kids
