How do you forgive yourself?

I made some bad decisions in HS, and hurt the people I care about. They've forgiven me - but I can't seem to forgive myself. It haunts me, and no matter how much I try to tell myself I'm not a bad person - I always end up feeling that way.

since they have forgiven you - you need to accept that for a while you were not your best version of yourself.

it's an icky realization - but once you accept that you don't want to be that way any more you can just keep those memories as a warning

and get on with being a better you
