How do you forgive yourself?

I made some bad decisions in HS, and hurt the people I care about. They've forgiven me - but I can't seem to forgive myself. It haunts me, and no matter how much I try to tell myself I'm not a bad person - I always end up feeling that way.

This is a tough one. Like most people, I am very hard on myself for past mistakes. For me, I realize that I am the only one in my corner and I must be my own best advocate or else the world will run me over. When I think about that, I give myself a break because I am awesome.
