How do you forgive yourself?

I made some bad decisions in HS, and hurt the people I care about. They've forgiven me - but I can't seem to forgive myself. It haunts me, and no matter how much I try to tell myself I'm not a bad person - I always end up feeling that way.

Your friends forgave you, so you must've made amends. Guilt and regret are useless emotions. You can't change the past, but you can be a better person in the future.
Forgive yourself and move on. You have so much life left to live.
