Is it normal to hate your family?

IDK if the concept of 'normal' even makes sense this century or if it's contextual or whatever. I mean, humans are deeply social animals with naturally strong familial emotions, so I can't reasonably claim that it's normal for a family to be fractured. But it's super normal to react to drama by pulling away, which I think is the more pertinent question here.

People often have times of struggle/static/fights with either specific family members, groups of family members, or even the whole family.

Maybe some time off/away will help thing cool down, give prespective to ALL parties, and lead to a better, brighter future on some tomorrow...

Lots of people have family issues. I don't get along with some of my siblings for various reasons.

Imo it's not normal, but it seems to be somewhat common.

I have/had a sister. She grew apart from our family and moved away. She never speaks to us and my parents do their best to keep in contact. However I don't hate my sister, I just dislike her a lot. I do admit that I tend to think about what the future will be like. Will we ever reconcile, or will we just see each other again at the next family funeral?

I know what you mean. My cousin did me wrong and instead of apologizing she sends messages cursing me out. I immediately blocked her. Clearly she's got issues and I'm not going to be around someone so draining. She's getting married on the 24th but I just can't stand to see her right now. Maybe in 6 months time I'll be over everything
