Aside from your parents, who taught you the most about life?

One of my former bosses. She was an older woman, like a second mother to me. My own mother was shitty so this boss sort of filled that empty space in my life. She and I were very close, I considered her a dear friend and she taught me so much about adult life that my own mother hadn't.
