Anyone know any ways to get over fears fast?

I think thinner heels look better than my usual block heels, but the decrease in stability paired with my stupid phobia or whatever of dislocating my patella again makes me a twitchy mess just thinking about the possibility of stumbling.

Since the fear isn't all that unfounded, I can't force myself to stumble until it no longer registers as a threat... But I really feel like I'm wasting potential here.

Depends on the nature of the fear. When I was a kid I was terrified by the dark, but one day I went into the dark, closed my eyes, and waited until I wasn't afraid anymore. It worked, and just in a few minutes I was not ever afraid of the dark again. Today I'll go out into the pitch black night just to enjoy myself a walk.

However not everything is solved through direct confrontation.
