Is this mean?

I've worked at my job for 9 months. I still have a coworker who incorrectly pronounces my name.

I told him " I really think you do this on purpose. I've been here 9 months. You should know my name."

He claims it's not on purpose but it's just not common and that he's never met anyone with my name.

I said " yes you have met someone with my name. You met me 9 months ago so you should know my name. I'll call you Cameron ( not his name) until you learn my name"

Is that mean?

I mean, if you TRULY cannot pronounce a person's name, then why keep butchering it? Why not just say hey girl, or a simple good morning?

Seems a bit childish for both of you.

@MarkPaul not being childish. Just being assertive. I believe he is being childish

@iamnikki I suspect he claims he is being assertive too.

@MarkPaul that doesn't make since but okay
Edit: sense

@iamnikki If you know anything about human nature it makes complete sense. You are both trying to rationalize your childish behaviour while you each get childish satisfaction over thinking you are annoying the other.
