I bet half this website would load themselves into box cars if they were promised Covid free ‘health’ camps

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I'm more concerned about the half that would inject bleach in themselves because their leader told them to.
Do we trust actual drs or news anchors for medical advice?

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I'm not speaking about HCQ, I'm speaking of a leader who thought injecting bleach (sodium hypochlorite) in people bloodstreams could "cure" them.

@Elessar He never said that. You are really that stupid? Seriously?
Elessar · 26-30, M
@hippyjoe1955 Ah right, it was UV light *and* disinfectants

)You know the difference between "disinfectants" and "antivirals" right?)
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Elessar Wow nice conflating. Did you know that his disinfectant comments were about the UV light they were working on an now testing? Too Funny!!! Your TDS makes you sound like an idiot!
Elessar · 26-30, M
@hippyjoe1955 UV light *inside* people is being tested? In which alternate reality? 🤦‍♂️
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@Elessar You don't know about it? Yes they are testing it at a hospital in NYC. They slide the light source down the bronchial tubes in the hope of killing the virus. According to early reports I read it was somewhat successful. I am not convinced and I haven't seen any further reports. You need better sources of information I guess.

@SpiritualMan First of all, I inform mostly through research dedicated platforms - JAMA, Nature, my very own university, or even Medrxiv/Arxiv for preprints, so yeah, that's real research - I leave both news outlets and potential-marketing articles like this, presenting zero data on effectiveness, to those who couldn't process raw data.

But anyway, let's dissect this article:
The Healight technology delivers intermittent ultraviolet (UV) A light through an endotracheal catheter and according to the company, it is being studied as a potential treatment for coronavirus and other respiratory infections.
So first of all it's not injection in bloodstream, at most it'll illuminate the epithelium of the lungs, and not the entire lungs (unless you increase the power, potentially causing more harm to the host than the virus). Let's not forget that UV is cancerous / damage-inducing even on the skin, that is meant to interface with it, let alone inner organs. In fact:
Healight is not yet approved by the FDA for use or approved as a COVID-19 treatment, and more studies on its use in humans will be needed before it can be verified as effective.
The point is, if the light doesn't penetrate deep enough in the tissues or even the cells composing them (potentially damaging them), it'll be quite useless:
Unlike bacteria, which are almost like dumbed-down, lumbering giants in comparison, viruses are tiny, evil invaders that take over human cells in order to replicate and kick out more versions of themselves.

Bacteria live and reproduce outside of human cells, so we can target them through antibiotics, but because viruses live in human cells, it’s difficult to kill them off without also killing the human cells.
@SpiritualMan It's a company statement, quoted by an article that itself doubts it, especially in the very last part. Taking advantage of the pres claim as free advertisement to attract funding, probably..
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@SpiritualMan Yeah but @Elessar's TDS tells him what you and I say is not true even though it is true. I honestly don't have a dog in this fight. If they are testing and it works good. If they are testing and it doesn't work or well. That being said I am not about to deny what is being done in the labs. Certainly not because of Trump. Of course @Elessar misquoted Trump as well putting words in his mouth like CNN does all the time. Maybey he doesn't realize that CNN is fake news.

@hippyjoe1955 Re-read both the article he linked and my response. 🤦‍♂️ And rewatch the video. He himself came out with an excuse, like that he was sarcastic or something a day later or so, iirc.

@SpiritualMan American mainstream media isn't a thing here, and trump isn't my president, so I couldn't give a damn. My initial post in this thread is about a specific demographic on this site itself.
