How does statistics work?

If i put one bullet in a five shot revolver and get a click then then statistics dont like stack up on me daily if i spin the cylinder every morning i still have the same 20% chance right?

Sure, but it has to be a 5 shot revolver for that. The statistic is also that within the 5 day period the bullet will be shot.
You can think it as if there is a 1% chance of crashing your car then in 100 days or less you will crash your car.

@tallpowerhouseblonde time to buy that corvette i have been dying for ans spend every nightin a plush hotel.

@tallpowerhouseblonde There's actually about a 32.8% chance of surviving the 5 days. The probability of surviving 1 day is 1 - 0.2, or .8. If you raise that to the fifth power, you get about .328.

Thanks

@BlueVeins No issue about survival. The gun is just being fired, not pointed at self then fired. Each day also gets a clean start. There is no raising to the fifth power involved.

@tallpowerhouseblonde I thought that part was implied.

@BlueVeins If it is not clearly in the question it does not exist.

@tallpowerhouseblonde yes, the issue is survivability. The weapon is pointed at “self”
