Yes. They were VERY strict. In a way, I suppose that led to the development of my creativity, in finding ways to get around that...馃槀

@Senpai Curfew 10 p.m., and they would drive up to the party and collect me, after first hounding the parents of the person giving the party. Forbade me to go to the drive in with a group of my first cousins. Forbade me to attend football games. Turned my dates away at the door. My mother would slap me very hard right across the face if she didn't like something I said. She would chase me trying to hit me. Everyone felt sorry for me.
