Why do people still want to reproduce themselves on a planet of nearly eight billion people with finite resources when so many live in need?

Im not one of them

never married no kids and now too old

but LONELY. I did find a pen pal on EP and I've been like a grandma to him since 2007

but its not like the real thing by a huge measure.
