Are you going to do something nice for others this upcoming holiday season?
My 5 year old daughter and I are taking part in a charity where you fill shoeboxes with goodies for less fortunate children. You can put in things like a sweater, mittens, hat, coloring book, crayons, candy, chocolate, a small game or toy, a little stuffed animal, and hygiene items (toothpaste, soap, toothbrush), etc.
Then you bring your shoebox to a local drop off point and at the end, they load all the shoeboxes into a truck where it is brought to a poorer country, in my example: Romania. There it is given out to the children.
I like charities like this better than just giving my money out, because I know that my shoebox will be going to a real child!
