Florence Nightingale would have celebrated her 200th birthday this week.

I don't know what it is, but I just know this is peculiarly significant in the scheme of things in this Covid upside down world we're in. Or, do I need to book more sessions with my dear therapist.

@Dlrannie Wikipedia has its occasional uses. Did I ever share that I studied an account of this terrible war, in the original Russian? About 45 years ago (I've run out of fingers and non Covid toes to keep count on), I translated and then instantly expunged from my brain [i]every[/i] fookin Russian word for mortar, grenade, shell, bomb, bullet, gun, canon, rifle, musket, wound (you get the idea?) Actually, this is like 45 year overdue therapy for me. Thank you for listening. Can I get up off the couch now please? 🤗
