Double speak by Politicians

Donald Rumsfeld once said in 2002, regarding the limitations of intelligence reports.

There are known knowns; there are things we know we know.
We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don't know we don't know.

Sounds like a whacked out version of the Arabian proverb.
 Knows and Knows Not

He who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool; avoid him.

He who knows not and knows that he knows not is a student; teach him.

He who knows and knows not that he knows is asleep; wake him.

He who knows and knows that he knows is a wise man; follow him.

There's plenty of political doublespeak, but this actually makes sense.

Known known: your paycheck
Known unknown: you will have an electric bill, but you don't know the exact amount
Unknown unknown: the medical bill from the accident you might have in six months

He is correct in his assessment. And it is those unknown unknowns that pose the greatest danger.
All I know is I know not.

That is still pure genius compared to anything Trump has ever said.

@SW-User In fact, what he said is very sound. Almost tongue twisting, but the epistemology is based in fact.
