How do I talk to a girl Iv never spoke to before

Well she is related to my ex . So I don’t want my ex thinking I’m trying to get back at her or anything . How do I speak to her without seeming creepy lol I can’t speak to her on social media as she has on her Instagram bio that she doesn’t accept requests from people she don’t know . I can only speak in person but I hardly see her. Any advice anyone
