What an excellent question !

Well, i guess they fall into two catagories. The good and the bad.

For the 'good' i suppose you have to include the ending of the Vietnam war.
🔹The moon landing.
🔹The fall of the Berlin wall and the ending of communism in most places.
🔹The creation of the internet. For all it's faults it's shortened the distance between family and friends considerably.
🔹The ending of apartheid in South Africa. Nelson Mandela being freed.
🔹The ending of the civil war in the former Yugoslavia.
🔹The signing of The Good Friday agreement in Northern Ireland. Hundreds of lives not only saved but changed for the better as a result.
🔹Child mortality rates worldwide are the best they have ever been.
🔹Medical advances everywhere from the creation of IVF to advances in treatments for those with long-term , previously life-threatening conditions like H.I.V/AIDS for example.

For the bad ?
🔹Well. Vietnam may no longer be an issue but plenty of others have taken it's place since.
🔹World economics goes through the same cycles causing desperation for many.
🔹Politics is slow to evolve. See: List of current world leaders and some of the atrocities caused in their name.
🔹etc.
