Want a job as a Proof Reader?

Surely a rather simple job as long as you have a complete understanding of your written language.
Came across something today I have never seen in my life.
Reading Bryce Courtenay's book, The Potato Factory, as printed;
"Mary now became conscious that, in the short time she'd been in Mr Goldstein's office, the warehouse had short time she'd been in Mr Goldstein's office, the warehouse had filled with the hum of people going about their work"

The sentence "Mary now became conscious that, in the short time she'd been in Mr Goldstein's office, the warehouse had short time she'd been in Mr Goldstein's office, the warehouse had filled with the hum of people going about their work" contains repeated words. It should read "Mary now became conscious that, in the short time she'd been in Mr Goldstein's office, the warehouse had filled with the hum of people going about their work".

@Gusman I've seen similar errors before. When I was 13 I bought a pop magazine which had the lyrics of songs in the charts at the time. One of these was "Love Is The Drug" by Roxy Music. The lyrics go "Love is the drug got a hook in me" but the magazine printed it as "Love is the drug is the drug got a hook in me". It's impossible to sing it to the song's tune with the repeated "is the drug" in the middle.
