love is overrated.
true pain is knowing it will only get worse before the end, if there is one.
Why is love overrated? Remembering that there is more than romantic love, I feel it is a wonderful thing to have either from family, friend or lover. @UnlikelyTomato
@LukeTheDuke love is a fantasy, for a lucky few it comes true.
However hatred and selfish greed are much more powerful forces and can dominate love with ease, thus leading to pain.

@UnlikelyTomato Thats not true
@Shell that is your subjective opinion.

@UnlikelyTomato That can also be said of your answers. They are your subjective opinions.
Love is never selfish. A parent can love their child unconditionally. So can a person in love. Someone that truly understands what it means to love that person
@Shell I never said love is selfish. just that it pales in comparison to selfishness and other more powerful aspects of humanity.
It’s true that love can be elusive, difficult to find and that people can be hateful or selfish. But there are some good people (even if only a very small amount). We must try, against the odds, to find the good people and cherish them if they do enter our lives. You are young, there is plenty of time for you. Yes, you will encounter bad people on your journey, but I hope you find one or two that can heal your heart and make you happy. @UnlikelyTomato
@LukeTheDuke The best way to avoid danger is to expect the worst from everyone.
Love exists, but it's a temporary feeling like all the others.
Love is one sided and makes people exploitable. it's better to ignore it and focus on things better worth our time.
I don’t share your view, but I respect it. I can totally understand the attempt to avoid pain. @UnlikelyTomato
@LukeTheDuke you can't avoid pain, it's everywhere.
but you can avoid distractions, dangers and risks.
I get what you’re saying. @UnlikelyTomato
