To be honest I think both things are debatable. We can choose to row in different directions. As a Socialist I'd have sympathy with the second but whilst we should be free of exploitation and have equal opportunities, what we do with them does have a bearing on our quality of life.
@alan20 True...however, regardless of our lot or position in life, none is better than the other. We came into this world with nothing, and we go out of this world with nothing, but our soul does not cease to exist after death. The Bible clearly teaches us in the New Testament that we continue on after death. And spiritually speaking, we are all in the same boat...in need of Jesus for salvation if we wish to get to heaven, as he is the only one who has access to God the Father, and the only sacrifice the Father will accept. If none believe that, it doesn't interrupt God's plans.
