How long can you stay away?

What's the longest you have been offline/off the internet for? What did you do instead?

Two to three weeks at a time, when on holiday. Generally, with no radio either, although I listen to that at home regularly and selectively.

No TV either - that is almost obvious but I have no TV anyway.

I am not on the internet all or even most of the time, my life does not revolve around it and there are many things I need to do or enjoy doing where the internet is not a part of. I am here often but it fits between and around my other activities.

I was off from 2000 to 2014. Read, raised my kids, tried crochet and sewing, pilates and yoga. Now I stay off if I’m in a particularly toxic funk, but usually only takes a week or so to pull out of it. When I’m not on I’m adulting or playing.

@Laughman ahhhh nope! Just realized I lied! 😂 I remember I got a facebook account because my daughter wanted one and I wouldn’t agree to it unless I was her “friend.” 😆 I never used it much but I know I posted pictures to it in 2009, so less impressive effort. LOL 👍

I think my longest since about 1997 would be about 6 months. I was in the UK on a working visa in the late 90s. Computers in hostels were limited, so I only got about 30 mins access every month.

Four years between 2002 and 2006. No TV either. Worked ate slept and spent a lot of time at Denny's reading books.
