Does anyone else feel like they have to be their own hero?

This is hard to explain. But basically I will never ask anyone for help with anything no matter how bad I need it. For some reason I feel like I have to do and solve everything on my own and to be my own hero. Whether it's big things or little things I just can't ask anyone to help me, maybe it's because I don't want to feel like I owe anyone anything? I don't even know. Not sure if this makes sense?? Does anyone else do that?
