What is your credit limit?

Mine is only $500, but I never spend more than that in a month anyway because I have limited funds.

Way higher than any kind of credit card debt I’d ever like to carry. I have a few zero fee credit cards and they all raise their limits periodically. When the zero apr offer runs out I get another one, and keep the old one. I tend to keep a small no-interest balance, for some reason I feel like a history of actual credit card debt helps your creditworthiness better than always paying it off every month, but fuck paying interest.

@QuixoticSoul Huh? I’m pretty sure the target is to pay the balance in full and on time. That way, you avoid the interest.
Also, the amount of credit cards you have lowers your credit score. I believe if you have over 7, it’s bad, but that number could be incorrect.

@ShaythePanTransMan I don’t have over seven, credit karma seems happy with the number of my accounts.

Paying the amount off every time is certainly not bad, but in some situations lenders apparently like to not just see a permantly zero balance.

Shit I dunno, this shit is voodoo. So far, seems to be working. I could have accepted a myth somewhere along the way 🤷‍♂️

@QuixoticSoul I don’t know if I would trust credit karma. I think they can prey on consumers.
That’s strange.
Possibly.

@ShaythePanTransMan Oh that was something I picked up from my parents. But credit karma does have a section on number of accounts.

Creditworthiness is fucking weird and it goes way beyond income and rating. Witness the Apple credit limit debacle.

@QuixoticSoul I see.
I suppose it does.
