Why do you think these days that theres an increase with addiction with phones , advertising, materialism.

Advertising really kicked into high gear with the advent of the tv. Note that materialism was huge in the 80's too. Folks got addicted to phones around 30 years ago.

@riseofthemachine People tend to exaggerate what is going on in the present because they are too lazy and incurious to find out much of anything.
