Can this ever be okay?

I asked my sitter why she was not being honest with me. She keeps going quiet and seems to want to get out of the house as fast as she can to get away from me.
She said it always feels like I am putting her in her place or 'telling her off' when she is honest with me. I am angry and don't know what to say back to her or if this can even be resolved. Thoughts?

Point out that you are both in a professional relationship. You are employer and she is employee. If she's unhappy with the job, she can leave and you hire someone else.

@xixgun I tried talking to her and she said I was putting the blame onto her.
I wouldn't call it a professional relationship. I used to consider her family,not so much now.

@BluePlanet That's the problem. Even if you hire your mom, you enter into a boss and employee relationship. You say how things are and if they fail to do so they get fired.
