Can someone's negative/toxic attitude make someone dislike you?

If you have the mindset to hate - you don't need a reason.

I have been warned off people by other negative people, and later found those they tried to make me dislike to be good friends.
The toxicty does sap your energy if you CHOOSE to hang around it.
