If you want to get your life together just take enough for your anxiety and no more.
PhoenixPhail · M
That's happened with me before, so I stopped using it.
It's not worth having bad feelings.

@PhoenixPhail I’ve stopped using that shit too. It’s not worth the paranoia
PhoenixPhail · M
@Silentcry Absolutely. What's the point in using it if rather than having fun, it just causes bad feelings?
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
YES! Anxiety and paranoia are common symptoms of marijuana. I've looked at peer-reviewed scientific journals which said marijuana can mimic the beginning stages of schizophrenia. Don't worry too much though, because weed can't actually activate dormant mental illness, and it won't make you permanently crazy--but it can sure make you feel it while it lasts.
If you want to keep smoking, you'll want to go with a strain with a high CBD to THC ratio. The CBD kinda keeps the THC in check and reduces anxiety. Indicas are less likely to cause anxiety and paranoia than Sativas, I think.
My relationship with marijuana was one of love and affection and eternal devotion, until it turned on me.
I took acid when I was 19 years old, and I had a bad trip. The worst. Hellish. Horrible. I would have rather died or been crippled. I smoked a blunt right before the blotter hit, and then I was sent to Hell.
Ever since that night, any time I take even one puff, I get sent right back into that infinite fear, paranoia, religious delusions. It's awful.
In addition, I have also smoked weed that must have been laced with something, because it felt like my entire body--including my favorite part--was literally on fire for FOUR hours.
I loved weed. But it stopped loving me. But for you, it may have just been the particular strain.

@Tatsumi I’m sorry this happened to you. I have always had good experiences with weed until this last time. My entire body was shaking and I was making bizarre movements without having control over them. My boyfriend was throwing up and it would freak me out even more. I lost sense of time and felt like I was in a different universe or something and time was passing by so slowly. I just thought I would die. You’re probably right, it might have been laced with something, I don’t think I’ll be able to smoke for a really long time though.
Tatsumi · 31-35, M
@Silentcry Ahh, okay, yeah. That's not normal. If it was street weed, likely it was laced with something.
PCP lace could cause those involuntary movements, mild/moderate auditory/visual hallucinations, and feelings of depersonalization: like unreal-ness, and it's a common lace with marijuana. It causes perceptual changes, which could fuck with your sense of time.
How long did the effect last?
Disclaimer: I'm not a doctor. Anyways, probably wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to take a break from weed. ^_^

@SW-User What was your experience like?
reflectingmonkey · 51-55, M
a few things to pay attention to: have a supplier who know the cannabinoid profile of his varieties, or at least know if its indica or sativa and the specific kind. remember those that work and those that make you feel weird. then smoke only those you noticed make you feel good. also make sure you eat before, smoking while hungry can cause anxiety and paranoia. we have an outdooe variety her called freezland, if i smoke or actually, when i did, the smallest amount of this variety made, it me feel horrible and i had to lay down and wait for the effect to go away. weed has many active ingredients so each variety will have actually different effects due to the cannabinoids ( thc, cbd mostly but also others) profile.

Never, but I never smoked it that often, and it was LONG ago. I hear today's strains are much stronger than we had back in the 1960s. Then again, I hear these days it might be spiked with things.
They use to sneak in PCP or angeldust in the bag. That stuff will mess you up.

When I was really young in high school I had a really bad experience like that. Got super paranoid it was a terrible time
ShaythePanTransMan · 22-25, T
Yes, hallucinating, trembling, feeling what I would describe as insanity.... I overdosed on THC.
Success · 26-30, F
Once. My heart was racing really fast. I think it was maybe treated with something.
SW-User
Yes I had a similar, horrible experience..it may have been laced with something

PrincessVelvet · F
Geeze, how much did you smoke at once 🤔
Never had it.
REMsleep · 41-45, F
It affects some people that way and if it does then stay away from it. It's never had affect on me. I just feel nice, loose, calm. Not too much difference. I've only smoked maybe 20-25 times in my life but never had a bad experience.
