Why shouldn't the US military budget be dramatically slashed?
People need better medical care after all.

we are not getting better care ,we need a "No climb wall "
made out of material that attracts heat ,so you can't climb it

He did cut back on military spending ,,
but they say ,,they say ,he has added benefits to medicaid and medicare
But the ACA is still on the chopping block
"We have to undo anything Obama" ,,and waste all the money spent on it
rather then fix it ,we have to destroy it
and I don't care which party you represent
To waste 8 yrs ,just to destroy any good a man done ,its ignorant
and counter productive and a waste of millions of dollars
Fix the damn thing ,,all those "brilliant minds "and in 10 years they can't do that ,but we can build a wall

@Stilltryinghard We are already spread thin ,so that is the argument
"Its time for other countries to pay their fair share ",and I agree with that
But not so we can protect oil wells ,start wars and drop mega bombs
Look they have cut back on medical so long ..stole from Social Security
Money we paid in ,,but now so many are on SSI ,,and the boomers are retiring
It is going to take more then cutting military spending
It is time for "Rich America " to pay too ,,not more tax breaks they don't need ,,the trickle down BS has not worked since Reagan started preaching it
and left office with the highest deficit

@Stilltryinghard I won metals on our history ,secular and religious
I avoid politics as a rule
Not because I am ignorant to the topic ,I have family that are politicians
I have worked for retired supreme court justices
But some topics are so heated and cause hate even in families
I make light of some of it
National defense does us little good when a cyber attack can bring us to our knees and we owe China and other countries for bailing us out
And the rich still get away with not paying anything
The poor get their money back ,they are in poverty level
the rich get exemptions and incentives ,,so who is paying to run our country??
But as long as everyone's 401 K looks good ,and they have jobs ,who cares
"I bought a new yacht for a tax write off ,,and I already have 5 I never use"
I make fun of my relatives ,must be nice having a job you never do anything
you can screw up all you want ,and no one can fire you

Think of all those jobs... All those families depending on weapons production.... The entire us economy would collapse...

@Stilltryinghard my vote? Completely irrelevant in this case... But I reckon deep government investment in infrastructure, education and healthcare are much more beneficial for a society than dollar for dollar investments in bombers, f35 jets, aircraft carriers and the likes.... Weapons have no secondary economic effects... An icbm can only be fired once, where a railroad can be productive for decades
