Do you find life is sometimes

too expensive to enjoy? Such as the things you enjoy cost too much.
I don’t always like to stay home but here in Australia a nice meal out can set us back easily a hundred bucks, movies are unbelievable...easily $100 plus for a family...getting a massage is expensive, shopping is expensive, going on a decent holiday here you need 5k+
I’m American so know that living and entertainment is cheaper in the States. I’m curious if you find it to be expensive to live and do things for fun there or wherever you live.

Because Australia has been labelled "A Rich Country", prices are inflated.
Too many businesses are ripping us off.
One can notice this when Businesses have "Sales" with up to 90% off.
They still make money on Sales.
Nothing but rip off pricks.
Australia is a very expensive country only because people who own the businesses are greedy.
👍 I agree. It’s terrible. It’s no fair.@Gusman

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 Not fair, but both side of Politics are too piss weak to stop the rorting.
They call it Free Market Enterprise.
Yes yes. Is it because there are too many middlemen here?
The quality of some items aren’t as good either. @Gusman

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 We have very high wages, penalty rates, Landlords charge exorbitant rents and greedy owners
The Consumer can not win
Exactly and the ungodly leases at shopping centres. I know a lady with a cafe and she said it’s $12,000 a month. Sad.@Gusman

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 Landlords are the most greedy.
If high rents force a Business to close, the Landlord does not care because the Tax Law is structured so that the landlord simply claims a Tax Loss.
They put rents up when ever they like.
Also, the rent for housing is crazy. I knew this girl who went to look at a house and oh my goodness...mice droppings, stains on the carpets, and a pergola that was clearly falling down. He wanted several hundred and week and she told him no only because an Aussie friend pointed things out and told her not to take it.
She was from South America and actually lived in a shed for six months so anything was beautiful to her. She finally got in this house and she kept talking about how beautiful it was so I went to visit and was horrified about how gross it was. @Gusman

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 Australia is rapidly going downhill for many people.
Overpriced to the max, Homelessness is skyrocketing, 1 million people living below the poverty line.
Refugees are given everything while dinky di Aussies are told to f--k off.
I am starting to really dislike what Australia has become. Glad I will be dead inside 20 years. Can't imagine how bad it will be.
I know. Me too.
