Why does everyone get so wrapped up in TV, the media and news and all the negativity around?

Eurgh! I can not stand politics...I hate talking about politics, i don't like knowing about it, i want eff all to do with it. I don't like the news, i don't like TV, i don't like negativity (I know everything i have just said can be seen as negative, but im just saying)...I don't have a TV, i barely watch TV, i like my laptop and radio...And i try to be as productive with my laptop as possible...I love learning new things. Most stuff on TV is a load of repetitive bullcrap! Why i must ask, do people insist on having a giant TV/box planted in the corner of the room and spend a lot of time watching it? People get so wrapped up in soaps and series as if its real life. Why? It baffles me...

I'm not one of those individuals. I don't watch television. I think that reality shows are the worst. My mental health comes first. I don't want all that darkness clouding my senses and bringing me down. Negativity sucks the soul out of you and contributes to more negative damaging energy.
Brilliant! :D Dammed strait! What do you do instead?...
@Solitudebluebell: read, exercise, I've written four books in the past ten years. I spend time with my family and friends.
Aw wow :) What were your books about, are they published?
@Solitudebluebell: yes all published. I wrote about bullying twice, about domestic violence, and my first was more inspirational.
Ah cool! Good subjects i must say...So what was the first one about then? (If you don't mind me asking?)
@Solitudebluebell: thanks. First was really just a small sampling of my thoughts and experiences at that time.
Sound great, well done!...I would like to get my lyric, diary's and poems published, that's one on my to do list. Self expression is very important. And giving hope/light/inspiration/a positive message for others too...
Thank you. And best wishes on your own endeavors.
