Angry with nanny

I really do feel she is being childish here.
She has looked after my son after school for 4 years. My ex and I split last year and she splits her time between the two homes.
Before the big summer break I asked her as always to carry on with the new school year. Three weeks later things changed as I got news that my house sale was about to go through. I told her that I wanted her to get a train and a bus to my new house with my son. She said she wanted expenses paid for extra travel and time and I decided that it wouldn't work and suggested she leave the job. She was not happy as she said she now didn't have time to find a new job before the school term starts and that I have been insensitive not telling her that I was moving. She said she deserved more consideration and respect. I am angry as feel she has over reacted and I now see a different side. Who is right here?

I'm on her side, sorry.

@FreeSpirit1 Can you explain why?

@Jenni855 because the situation has changed and you're putting it on her to adjust to your move. Give her a raise to cover the travel if she's a good nanny.

@FreeSpirit1 I cant do that which isn't my fault. I am a single parent now.
