Actually I did...it was when I met my wife. But it didn't do it for me again, it did it for me in the first place. Every now and again I still feel like I need a recharge, but doesn't everybody? My life completely turned around and changed the day she entered the picture though.

It's an emotional boost...like sugar doesn't stay in the system long, but makes you feel better in the moment.
I've been in a funk myself lately. I find that the best boost is when I accomplish something...perhaps the one task or responsibility that's been weighing on my shoulders the most. And sometimes it's just a compliment that makes me feel better about myself. I guess each funk has it's own reboot. I hope you find yours soon...
I'm guessing you're a giver...always helping others. Givers need to take now and then...against our nature.

Sometimes you just have to step back....take a look around...and see what's important and what makes you happy. Then focus on those things and tune out the background noise. Good luck getting that newfound wind.

@WindTherapy that sounds like great advice!

I always feel great whenever I see my kids ☺
WhereGraceBegins · 51-55, F
@SW-User I understand. My kids are the only ones who bring me joy these days.

I've had such a moment in my life before. It's like I became so bogged down that my mind finally just said "fuck it" and it was almost like a switch got turned on. I suppose it was just reaching that point of not caring anymore...felt like I had nothing to lose and there was nowhere to go but up at that point. I hope you can find the same mentality but without digging yourself any deeper.

SW-User
@WhereGraceBegins Lol, was only teasing about you being non-functional
WhereGraceBegins · 51-55, F
@SW-User I'm actually pretty upbeat. I hike almost daily and keep myself busy from morning til night. Just one of those phases we all go through I guess when it seems like every problem comes at you at once.

SW-User
@WhereGraceBegins That's more relatable than I could explain...living through a bit of an avalanche myself here lately. Just working through what is actually within my control and doing my best to cope my way through that which is out of my hands.
