Do you plan to have Children?

If so, how many Children would be "Just Right"?
Parents of the 1960's averaged 5 children. Too many?
Might be easier to get a pet Poodle

I grew up as an only child, I just think it would of been better (at least in my case) to have siblings, so I mainly just don't want one by themselves.

Zero or two are both alright.

I used to want to be a father, but now I'm not sure, just life hasn't gone the way I hoped, might be better for everyone to skip that part. Unless I find my soul mate and get in a better financial situation.

@Viper I think children need at least one sibling. Would be a little bit lonely having to entertain yourself as an only child, maybe.
Viper · M
@Gusman yeah especially when you have quite serious parents as I did.

In some ways they tried getting me to act more like an adult too soon and got on me when I made innocent mistakes with it. They have been very good overall. :)

@Viper i'm an only one,too!
Everyone should be trying to stick to a maximum of 2 unless they can afford more. 😈

@LilPuckBunny UK Population, 66 Million.
Australia, 25 Million
@Gusman 😯
@Gusman I think a lot of it is the arduous process involved.

3? Unfortunately, with the cost living of our lives and bad environment these days? I better forget my intention.

@SW-User Plenty of thought needs to go into the decision to raise children. Very high costs which will only rise every year
Peaceful · F
None. You have zero rights in protecting them here in the US. 🤷‍♀️
Miram · 31-35, F
I do think people need to put more thoughts into breeding like rabbits.

I don't really know if I'll ever have any. They will likely die in the first time due to my health, or I would..

Maybe have a third person in our relationship who actually have his biological child..

Then again, I am already responsible for three children. None are mine. My parents had eight. My father has more..

I have one..how many do u have?
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Wiseacre No children for me. Never married, never wanted to marry
Wiseacre · F
@Gusman happy with that?
Gusman · 61-69, M
@Wiseacre Perfectly happy. Tried many years ago having someone in my bed. Too hot, Not enough room, etc😠
No.

5 seems like a lot.

@AmbivalentFriability My Mother had 9 children all up. She divorced and had another family
@Gusman Wow. Around where I live it is not uncommon for people to have more than 5 children. But I can't imagine being a mother to two whole families.
Gusman · 61-69, M
@AmbivalentFriability Most families in my home town had a minimum of 4 children.
Some had 7 or 8. Not so uncommon.
Plenty of life times jobs, housing was cheap. Wife stayed home as child carer.

Yes, I do want to bare children much later in life. Maybe 3, or 4! Along with a few fur babies.

I think people these days are all about EASY. That’s not how I roll. 😎
Gusman · 61-69, M
@SW-User The cost of raising a child till they leave home is an average $250,000.
Really expensive. Costs will surely rise over the coming decades?
AbbySvenz · F
One, two at the most
DeWayfarer · 61-69, M
I would be happy with just one. Yet even that is not truly likely.

I wanted to have 1 but now I feel too old to even have 1
