Its about the more "split" corpus callosum in males.
As a result they are emotionally more cut off from their own experiences.
Probably a Darwinistic thing...maybe because men had physically harder work (and non child-related) to do so maybe it was a survival method, you know..not getting too "involved" with stuff etc...

@Platoscave There is a nature aspect as well as nurture to it.

@JustGoneNow Indeed...
@Platoscave My guess is that this mechanism in the brain will be less pronounced in cultures where the women fought in war as well for the same survival, evolutionary reasons.

Good point. Well, that is a fascinating topic for some anthropological pHD project for someone...
Historical anthropology, involving studies of skulls of men and women who lived in various war making cultures and whether men or women were more active there..
and trying to see if their respective life differences might have influenced their actual brain anatomy.
Of course in a dead skull could anyone see the missing corpus callosum to begin with? What evidence it might have been there?
What IS the CC made of anyway???

@Platoscave I’ll leave it to the smart people. 😊

@JustGoneNow maybe like YOU girl!
@Platoscave Naw. I’m a musician. I loved history and science and was a bit of a book nerd in school but my passions took me in another direction. Didn’t kill my curiosity, however. 😉
