Over thinking/Worrying

I'm going through a rough patch. I worry constantly and look sad all the time. Because I am. I worry about things that are out of my control. I do know this is fruitless but knowing that doesn't stop me or make me happy again. What are your top 3 suggestions to ease a troubled mind?

It's difficult to know what works for others.
When my mind goes on overload, i get a little high and sit on my log in the woods. Listen to the birds, and smell the aromas of up north.
If that doent work, i have a two hour phone conversation with my best friend.
