When you disagree with something someone says or does, do you tell them? If yes, how do you convey your message so that they will change their mind?

No one has to share any of my views on any subject whatsoever.

Oftentimes, I find people of late are far too attached to their views to safely express disagreement.

If I must and it's going to be tense, I prefer doing so in writing.

Only if I think it's relevant. If we're in a fire and the person doesn't believe in fire I'd to to calmly convince them that fire was real.
Whether or not I tell them depends. If they're a friend or I feel really strongly about it, I'll tell them. I don't count on being able to change their minds, though. Generally, they have reasons for feeling the way they do that are just as strong as mine.

I don’t expect them to change their mind. If asked, I offer my opinion and leave it at that.

I'm not sure why I would want to change their mind? I find it interesting to discuss things from different view points and I try never to assume that I am "right" so that I can always be open to learning.
