When I woke up in a hotel room. Beside the bed was 2 empty bottles of Tawny Port.
I lay there staring at the bare light bulb above me. Listening to the outside world going about it's business. Cars honking, people laughing.
I lay in that room for a week too sick and sorry to face the world. My alcoholism was at it's most extreme.
I had hit rock bottom. Homeless, jobless, broke.
Stopped drinking after that binge
