Prom Contract: Can I sign for my parents?

I really want to go to my senior prom, but my parents won't allow me due to religious reasons. I'm going anyway, but there's this contract my parents have to sign (they won't sign it) and I was wondering if I can just sign it myself since I'm 18.

Well you’ll have to ask your school if you can sign for yourself. Some schools here allow it but it varies place to place. Or just sign their names on it yourself.

@DaughterOfTheDust my math teacher is the one who is in charge of the prom and she said "as long as there's a signature" so I'm not sure if she was saying I can sign it myself or she said indirectly "just forge the signature" xD

Sounds like it means that she isn’t going to check for who signed it, she wants it to be signed. I would go ahead and make a copy and sign one myself and then sign for my parents on the other. If she doesn’t accept the self-signed one turn in the parent signed one the next day. @BlackBloodDemon

@BlackBloodDemon Incomprehensible signature also works. But I thinkt hat means they don't really care.

@SW-User My dad is very manipulative. He wants me to be home all the time and never leave. He doesn't even want me going away to college, and to make me feel bad about it he called me selfish for wanting to go away since my mom has cancer (she's actually getting better now). He also won't let me get a car (even though I've saved up for one and can help pay for the insurance) because that will give me more freedom. If I only have the ability to use my parent's car, that puts on a lot of restrictions for me.
