Just want to leave the EU on schedule at the end of the month, even if that means with no deal. The politicians need to honour the referendum result

@SW-User no deal would be an economic shit show......even the virulent advocaters of no deal admit that. But it's not for them, they will make a killing from it
SW-User
@gol979 Disagree. There would be a short period of confusion but then it would all settle down. Nothing to stop us trading on WTO rules as we do with rest of the world. The business community should stop whingeing and fear mongering
gol979 · 41-45, M
@SW-User no, there's nothing to stop us trading on wto......but it will devastate sectors of our industry, especially agriculture plus it completely fucks up supply chains.
There are much, much better ways of leaving the eu
SW-User
@gol979 It won't devastate anything. Massive exaggeration of the difficulties. I do business with countries all around the world. If a businessman can't adapt he/she won't last long in business.

@SW-User you do business all around the world but state "the business community should stop whining"? Seems like you're riding two opposite strands of debate at the same time
SW-User
@gol979 Nope cos I am not trying to thwart the will of the people by trying to stop Brexit. If they can get a good fair deal fine, but if we can't then leaving with no deal is not a catastrophe. No deal is better than being locked into a bad deal for years to come

@SW-User "thwart the will of the people" "no deal is better than a bad deal".
I'm sure I've heard that before? In fact I think I've been hearing that for over 2.5 years. Now that's good negotiating to not move one iota from that position
unknownpoetx · 36-40, M
@SW-User do you understand the consequences of a no deal?
SW-User
@SW-User you say you do business with countries all over the world, but you seem unaware that you do so as a member of the EU, under deals negotiated by the EU not as a small insignificant country trying to trade on its own under the WTO rules. We do NOT currently trade under WTO rules we trade as a member of the EU with the rest of the world.
