People sicken me with their indifference concerning Christchurch

I don't care if you're Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, atheist, or whatever else. When people are murdered en masse by someone else, especially when its incited by racist, bigoted, or otherwise intolerant motives, that is fucking terrorism. Is religion the problem? I think that in a lot of cases, yes, it is. To be honest, I see religion as doing more harm than good. But are religious people the problem? No. These were innocent people who just wanted to safely congregate in their place of worship. Have you ever even spoken to a Muslim person, or do you just assume that all of them are violent terrorists because you can't think for yourself? In reality, you're just as bad as the people who actually do carry out crimes in the name of their faith, because you advocate violence and murder just as flippantly as they do.

@Greybare I'm well aware of Muslim terrorism, trust me. I'm not excusing it and think it's just as disgusting. But I'm saying that innocent people shouldn't be killed when they have nothing to do with these acts. Wouldn't you agree?

@Greybare I would agree about the terrorism, violence, and killing, but I think you and I have very different ideas about what invasion is.

Virtue signalling aside, stop elevating everything to the level of violence. That kind of demagoguery does a disservice to the actual violence.

These people in the mosque are as innocent as those killed in Paris, Nice, Berlin, London, Barcelona, or Mindanao just a few weeks ago (where was the media outrage then?)

In all those cases there was more talk about the terrorists (we must stop islamophobia cries) than about the victims.

You reap what you sow.

There is a song by Bob Dylan called "With God on our Side". It really hits the mark.
hillbilly · 31-35, M
@Softandsweet2 I don't think I've heard that before

So people have to think the way you do or they are Bad.

@patkaren1717 Yes, that sums it up.

@IstillmissEP Actually, yes. I think Muslim terrorists are just as bad as white supremacy terrorists, because they both have one thing in common: terrorism. If you're going to sit there and make this a political thing instead of a not murdering other people thing though, I really don't know what to say

I think, more so, mental health is the main problem.
Islamophobia, and how socially acceptable it has become is a huge problem.
If you marry the two, you have disaster and tragedy.
KidAzazel · 26-30
@PoizonApple Mental health is definitely a problem, for sure. You see this kind of behavior among non-religious people just as much. I think that the leaders we currently have though, religious, political, or otherwise, certainly are huge contributors to these tragedies.

I don't understand why people don't see all extremists in the same light.
Muslims hating white supremacists and white supremacists hating Muslims.
Who suffers? The normal human who had no choice in being born white or Muslim.
Who wins? Terrosits and media.
KidAzazel · 26-30
@SW-User Thank you. This is all im trying to say

Mental illness, combined with racism, bigotry, and political extremism, is a recipe for disaster.
