How do you let go of someone really really special?

I can’t!!! I really tried but I can’t. They keep coming back to my head and it’s so hard to avoid the thoughts or block them.

not sure how special they were to me. I think I just felt entitled to them.

anyways, they ended up really hurting me so I convinced myself that they're a shitty person. probably not a good method...
