Have any of you ever had a near death experience?

The closest I've had was walking across Westminster bridge and then 5 minutes later a car ramming/stabbing terror attack took place in the same spot. However, this wasn't really an experience as I didn't know at the time and only found out about it about an hour later after exiting London Underground (when I could get wifi).

I once fainted and split my head open, whilst everyone was out of the house, but I don't think that counts either.

one time me and some friends were playing a dangerous but fun game of jumping into some rapids and then just before it turned into a waterfall we had to grab on to the side and get out. but once, I missed the get off point and went down the waterfall. the current took me deep under and at some point I felt like "ok, I'm not getting out of this" and as I accepted my fate I felt this king of window of light opening before me and a strong sensation that if I die everything was gonna be ok, as if a welcoming committee was there to reassure me. at that moment the current brought me back to the surface and I was ok. I don't claim to deduce any truths from this experience, I just describe what happened but I do hope this is what death will be like and not just being swallowed by darkness in terror.
