Are you looking for a job that isn't too physically demanding? Desk jobs might be an option, like a receptionist or working at a call center. You'll want to do exercises/stretches outside of work though, because sitting too much can be bad on your body. I also know some bus drivers with bad backs who seem to do fine. Plus, they get breaks between routes.

My boyfriend is trying to find something that isn’t difficult on his back because he was in a car accident and is unable to do his work as a mechanic. He doesn’t want to do desk work and I’m at a loss as to helping him figure out what to do.
