Is there a reverse Thanksgiving where Americans have to chill while the rest parties

Like, is this how Americans feel during Eurovision or is even Eurovision too small-scale? 🤔

@Eternity this is what we really want to know 🤔
Yes, those who have to chill, most likely are those who are hung over, but many of them go for a "hair of the dog" anyway!

I think I'd join the Americans when it comes to the Eurovision Song Contest.

@tenente Eurovision Song Contest! It's a once-a-year thing. Most European countries (+ Australia as of 2015, they really wanted to join the party I guess) pick a representative to compete, battling against the other countries and trying to score as many votes from the other countries' juries and watchers as possible.
Then the winning country hosts it next year, spending massive chunks of their budget on getting it as big and loud as possible. Isn't Eurovision unless it's sparkly af.

Since the singing isn't NECESSARY what makes people vote, the different countries do their best to make their performance stand out - even if that means insane songs and performances, super-advanced scenography, or just straight-up weird, unexpected shit, like that time a group of Grandmas represented Belarus.

People tend to throw huge-ass parties, getting flat-ass drunk and just all-in-all having a good time. It's great.
