Lucky You.!

You never had your thinking clouded by feelings of irrational considerstion.

Never gave up more than you should give.

And never felt yourself crumble to an empty husk, all because of one person.

I sometimes wonder where I would be now if i had never loved someone more than myself.

It has it's incredible uplifting essence, that makes the hardest things possible.

...but it also has a terrible crushing pain that destroys your life from within.

There is a price on everything in life.
Just depends if yoy are ready to pay it or not

@BoobooSnafu I do not think I have missed out on much. I remember way back when, all my peers were rushing into marriage because it was what one done.
Remember the Skyhooks song, All my Friends are Getting Married? 1975
That is what I saw happening all around me. They would get married, be miserable, get divorced. Even my Brother came to me and told me how miserable his marriage was. All his wife wanted to do was stay home. Never go out anywhere together. Sit in front of the TV watching daytime Soaps.Days of our lives or what not.
The one positive thing to come out of me being an alcoholic for 30 years was that marriage never came into my head. So glad I never got wrapped up in all that hullabaloo

@Gusman Oh God, dont talk to me about the ridiculous concept of marriage.!!!

I.had friends that had been together for years. And i mean years, like 10.
Then within months of getting married, their friendship was disintergrating.

Marriage corrupts love into a social convention.
It serves very little purpose ecept to employ people, and to turn heartful words into an expensive social competition.
@Gusman plus..

LOVE my Skyhooks...
Still agree with them about Horrormovie... so true.

@BoobooSnafu That song, I first heard at about 2am when I woke up and turned the radio on because I could not sleep. I was 13. It actually scared me to shivering. I covered all my exposed skin in bed for months after hearing that song.
@Gusman Really!!!

I loved it because it was exactly how I felt about watching the news.

..and I still do
