@BlueMetalChick Sort of. It was over [i]color force[/i], which no one uses in particle physics, at least not English speakers. [i]Color charge[/i] is definitely used though.

@SW-User I always was told that the strong force was divided into two separate sub-forces, those being the nuclear force and the color force. The latter of those two is carried by the gluon, which is what binds quarks together inside hadrons.

@BlueMetalChick There is the effective field theory which used pions as the force carrier inside nuclei, but I have never heard it or the strong force in general called color force before. I looked it up when we were talking about it and I found just one reference I think using that term.
