The answer is not one we, men, should think about frequently.

Thanks Karysma.
Truth is there are two answers, you choose.
Firts is an evolutionary one with wide natural antecedents; we males are disposable resources.
This is, among other examples, why male birds have so distintnctive visible features. They function is to attract predators onto them and far from their partners and "kids".
And to seduce femails based on this "manly" look...and results.
The other answer is about humans.
There is a saying by here.
That ALL what we men do, poetry and bridges, war and peace, sports and work and almost whatever haves one and only one unconcious purpose.
That is, to get an admirative smile from women.
Society, culture, peers and mothers teach as so since kids.
When we get older and realize we fought a lost cause for a life...we die.

Now that is a complicated question, Estrogen, for example, facilitates the elimination of bad cholesterol and thus may offer some protection against heart disease; testosterone, on the other hand, has been linked to violence and risk taking. Men have a higher mortality rate starting at birth, they take more risk, are engaged in more dangerous occupations, more of them smoke and the ones who smoke smoke more cigarettes than women who smoke. I think of better question would be of men and women who make it to old age what is the average age at death ?

To watch men suffer.

Women get to do sex. Men waste their time thinking about it lol and get it much lesser than women
jfox4anr · 46-50, M
Men as a majority don’t get enough sex Which leads to being stressed longer which kills us
MinMan80 · 41-45, M
I believe it's because women are almost never on time for anything
vacationgirl · 36-40, F
my husband works long hours and long weeks and stresses about the bills. I get the kids on and off the bus and take care of the kids and house. my life is definitely easier. i'm sure it has nothing to do with sex. a man would think that.
karysma · 31-35, F
@vacationgirl Not all women are housewives. Some women work far more than men
vacationgirl · 36-40, F
@karysma yes, I wonder if those women live longer too. that would be a good study.
karysma · 31-35, F
@vacationgirl I agree
firefall · 61-69, M
perhaps it just feels longer, b/c of having to deal with men ?
Somewhereovertherainbow · 46-50, F
Apparently we nag them to death...
karysma · 31-35, F
@Somewhereovertherainbow haha don't think so
summerwind · 41-45, F
Lack of expression, release of feelings

Are saying because men have to much sex and it shortens their life? Or women that have to much sex live longer? lol
SW-User
Are yo saying to much sex leads to living longer or the other way round? Lol
xixgun · M
According to Rodney Dangerfield, men die before their wives because they want to.
SW-User
Too much sex on men’s behalf or women’s?
karysma · 31-35, F
@SW-User Men Obviously
Emarky · 31-35, M
@karysma women are having multiple times more partners than men. You women think about men that they are fucking every girl but the reality is that they don't have the chance. You are also thinking that men are senseless but the reality is that we are often more vulnerable than you.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
Spite.
karysma · 31-35, F
@Starcrossed spite?
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@karysma yep. I plan to live longer purely out of spite.
karysma · 31-35, F
@Starcrossed It's probably unlikely to happen lol

A combination of hormones, stress levels, behavioural tendencies, and typical recreational/vocational activities.
From an evolutionary standpoint the male of a species is able to spread its genes more profusely in a shorter lifespan than the female so longevity isn't as much a necessity or advantage for the male's genetic profusion as the female's. So there is trade of being more competitive and back breaking behaviour at the detriment of likely longevity. For example we know testosterone taxes the endocrine and vascular systems but there is trade off in the genetic sense that the male can impregnate more females thruogh the enhanced competitiveness and risk taking that the hormone typically produces since time is mush less a factor. A female has more time constraints on its ability to procreate. While having the male of a species having the same typical lifespans actually would lead to less genetic diversity of population.
