About depression

Question pertaining to depression. If you complain to someone who has depression about some sort of shortcoming about their behavior/character, does this cause them to become withdrawn? And I mean they stop talking/responding??

It certainly can. I know when I’m in a low the last thing I want to hear is a critique of the life I already know I’m failing at.

@Zaphod42 I posted this bc the Man I’ve beem seeing about 5 Months is ignoring me. Not answering me and this is fiollowomg several days of me
Complaining to him about his inconsistency to communicate to me. Either it’s that or he’s seeimf
Someone else however.
I do recall him saying he had some
Sort of depression a few Months ago. He told his nephew: I think not the kind of Man she needs but I don’t think he really knows how much I’ve grown to love him. I’ve tried apologizing I’m any way possible to get him to respond but he’s just not budging. And I know he doesn’t want me completely gone from his life bc he hasn’t blocked me on WhatsApp..... should I give him time to bounce back? I miss him dearly and I don’t want to add to his burdens or worrisome thoughts
