MartinTheFirst I know what you said. You said that people can become smart through educating themselves and practicing willpower. I said that can be true if your definition of "smart" involved education and willpower. Graduating high school is just one form that a person can succeed using education and willpower.
"Smart" can be something you have from birth, according to some people. From what I've read, a significant part of our intelligence comes from our parents. Of course, there are some environmental factors that come into play as well. For example, nutrition, a good place to live, the country you are in, etc. can all play a role in how well we perform. But if you don't have a lot to work with since birth, then it is unlikely that you'll get far. I think that education and will-power have more to do with a success than actual intelligence.
